SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024

SSC Stenographer 2024 Notification : The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has Released the Stenographer Notification on 26 July 2024. As per the official exam calendar of the SSC, the SSC Stenographer 2024 Applications are invited from 26 July to 24 August 2024. The eligible candidates can apply online from the website ssc.gov.in.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Application Fees

  • General, EWS, and OBC : Rs. 100/-
  • SC, ST, and PWD & female candidates are exempted

  • A total of 2006 vacancies are advertised under the SSC Stenographer 2024. This year the number of vacancies under the SSC Stenographer 2024 are updated here in the SSC Stenographer 2024 Notification on 26 July 2024.


SSC Stenogarpher 2024 Age Limit

  • Stenographer Grade ‘C’:
  • 18 to 30 years as on 01.08.2024, i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply.
  • Stenographer Grade ‘D’:
  • 18 to 27 years as on 01.08.2024, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply.


SSC Stenographer 2024 Qualification

  • The education qualification for the SSC Stenographer 2024 is the 12th Class (10+2) Pass. The candidates who will pass the written exam will be called for the Stenography Skill Test.



SSC Stenographer 2024 Selection Process

  • Online Written Exam (CBT)
  • Stenography Skill Test
  • Document Verification (DV)
  • Medical Examination (ME)

  • Question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only.
  • The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Skill Test in Stenography

  • The candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will be required to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography.
  • The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the online Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.
  • The matter will have to be transcribed on computer. The transcription time is as follows:
